The brief

A calm appearance requires precise execution.

JLM Sourcing managed the development of a large cream wall hanging for a European retailer. The design combines vertical textures, a rounded relief pattern and fringe with a wooden hanging bar.

Small differences are especially visible in a tone-on-tone design. Texture density, pattern symmetry, dimensions and finishing therefore had to be correct in the sample and repeatable throughout production.

What JLM managed

From visual concept to a measurable product specification.

01

Product brief

Translation of size, colour, weight, relief, fringe and hanging method into a clear factory brief.

02

Supplier selection

Assessment of textile capability, capacity, export experience and suitability for retail requirements.

03

Sample comparison

Checking texture, density, pattern proportions and finishing against the agreed reference.

04

Materials and documents

Alignment of product and packaging documentation, including requirements for the wooden hanging bar.

05

Packaging

Optimisation of carton dimensions and protection for international distribution and online sales.

06

Quality control

Independent final inspection covering dimensions, appearance, finishing, packaging and agreed quality.

Where JLM adds value

An approved sample is only the beginning.

Textile production can show visible variation in density, tension or manual finishing. JLM connects visual assessment to measurable requirements and follows execution locally.

  • Reference sample translated into controllable product characteristics
  • Texture and finishing deviations addressed before shipment
  • Carton dimensions aligned to protection and logistics efficiency
  • Documentation and independent inspection before release

The result

A distinctive home product, ready for online retail.

JLM brought design, production, documentation, packaging and quality control together in one process. This enabled the retailer to introduce the wall hanging as an online assortment test with a clear quality level and one accountable contact towards India.
